Centralized City Services
Fire, police and administrative offices were consolidated in 2003. They now occupy the new Cambridge City Center in the heart of the city.

Responsive City Government
The city is governed by an elected mayor and four-member city council. Its annual general fund budget is just over $3.5 million. The city has maintained an A- bond rating with Standard & Poors since 2002 -- the first year it was rated. Its Comprehensive Land Use Plan was adopted in 2001. Commercial, industrial and residential plans are reviewed and approved by the city building official.

One-Stop County Government
As the Isanti County seat, Cambridge is home to a modern government center, county fairgrounds, and a regional library. Residents enjoy one-stop access to health, legal and social services.

Top-Rated Public Safety
Cambridge's 13-member police force is recognized for its commitment to traffic safety and community policing. It works cooperatively with the 47-member Isanti County Sheriff's Department. The community's ISO rating is 6.
